Section 7C

📱 Phone / WhatsApp Privacy & Female Safety

🔒 Privacy Protection

We take the privacy of our members' contact details extremely seriously. The following safeguards are in place:

1. Phone Number & WhatsApp — Hidden by Default:

  • New members' phone numbers and WhatsApp are hidden by default and not visible to anyone
  • Members can toggle phone/WhatsApp visibility on or off from the "Privacy & Account" section in their Dashboard
  • When turned off, your mobile number is never sent from the server to the browser

2. Female Members — Permanent Protection:

🛡️ Female members' phone numbers and WhatsApp are permanently hidden. No one — not even the member herself — can enable this.

  • Female members see their phone/WhatsApp toggles as disabled ("locked") in the Dashboard
  • Business listings owned by female members also do not display phone numbers — a community contact email (contact@khangarkshatriya.com) is shown instead

3. Hide Profile (Directory Visibility):

  • Any member can hide their profile from the Members Directory and search results
  • A one-click toggle is available in the Dashboard under "Privacy & Account"
  • Hiding your profile keeps your account fully active — only public visibility is turned off

4. Self-Service Account Deactivation:

  • Members can deactivate their account from the "Danger Zone" at the bottom of the "My Profile" page
  • After deactivation, all data is automatically and permanently deleted after 30 days
  • Deactivation can be cancelled by logging back in within the 30-day grace period

Section 7D

💍 Khangar Vivah — Contact Sharing & Consent

🤝 Mutual Consent

In the Khangar Vivah (Matrimony) service, contact information is shared only after explicit Mutual Consent from both parties. Here is how the process works:

1. Mutual Consent Process:

  • When a matrimonial interest is sent and accepted, the receiver provides consent for contact sharing at the time of acceptance
  • The sender then receives a notification and separately provides their consent
  • Only when both parties have consented are phone numbers and WhatsApp details (as per privacy settings) made visible to both sides

2. What Information Is Shared:

  • The mobile number provided in the Vivah profile (used for both phone calls and WhatsApp)
  • The user's contact preference (phone/WhatsApp/in-app)
  • Only information that the user has voluntarily provided in their Vivah profile is shared

3. Introduction Chat & Limits:

  • After mutual consent, a limited introduction chat of 15 messages (per side) is available
  • After the message limit is reached, users are encouraged to connect offline using the shared contact details

4. Safety & Control:

  • You can change your contact visibility anytime from your privacy settings
  • Revoking consent will affect future interests; previously shared information cannot be recalled

⚠️ Misuse of shared contact information — including harassment, spam, unauthorised sharing, or any unwanted contact — is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension and legal action.

Section 8

Third-Party Links

Our Website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We recommend reading the privacy policy of any third-party website before visiting it.

When logging in via Google OAuth, Google's Privacy Policy also applies.
